My journey

"You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice."
– Bob Marley –

Like every healthy couple, after getting married I wanted to have a child. He was the first man in my life with whom I truly knew I wanted to start a family.
After the first unsuccessful year, I turned to the treatment options provided by the public healthcare system, as I was already over 30.

Then I sought answers in private care as well. Long years passed as I went from doctor to doctor – from gynecologists to endocrinologists, from general practitioners to immunologists – while my folders kept filling with test results and our family budget kept shrinking. I consulted nearly every well-known specialist in the country, hoping someone would finally tell me why I couldn't get pregnant and how we could still reach our goal: having a baby.

In the end, IVF seemed to be our only chance. I went through four full IVF cycles and a total of five embryo transfers before my daughter – our true little miracle – was born. The process was emotionally, physically, and financially exhausting, filled with anticipation, hope, and then repeated disappointments and a miscarriage. The treatments, the hormones, and the constant uncertainty all left their marks on me. Meanwhile, I increasingly felt that within the limitations of public healthcare I could not find the kind of complex, human-centered support I truly needed – so I began searching for other paths.

"To see clearly, it is sometimes enough to change your point of view."
– Antoine de Saint-Exupéry –

The turning point came when my husband and I decided to completely change our lifestyle.

We both consciously transformed our diet and daily habits, and during this time I constantly educated myself: I wanted to understand the workings of the female body, the delicate balance of fertility, and find ways to support this beautiful yet vulnerable system naturally.

The change did not come without results: after rebuilding our lives on new foundations, our second child – another little girl – was conceived entirely naturally. This experience strengthened my belief that harmony between body and soul is essential, and that true healing often begins when we ourselves take an active role in it.

Closing thoughts and a bit of encouragement:
My own story taught me that alongside medical protocols, understanding, self-awareness, and perseverance are also needed.
Today, as a naturopathy student and nutritional consultant, I work to transform everything I learned on my own journey into support for other women – for those who are now walking this difficult yet hopeful path toward motherhood.
